This art form has been around for over 200 years and remains a classic to treasure. He recently worked with Jennifer Lopez at her 40th birthday party and now he can do your children’s portraits. Deal of the week- Fair Trade animals

Partners for Just Trade is a non-profit Fair Trade organization that works with artisan groups and producers in Peru and Cameroon and finds stores in North America to sell their beautiful goods. These artisan groups are able to continue making their goods all while earning a fair wage which enables them to support their families, receive medical care and send their children to school. We, in North America, are able to buy unique, hand-made, lovely items that you won’t find everywhere. It’s a win-win.

The knitted organic cotton animals we have are made by a women’s group called El Mercurio in Huancavelica, one of the poorest regions of Peru. Formed in 2003, the group now employs over thirty women. By forming a group and being able to sell their knitted goods to a global market, they have grown their income and established a support group.

The llama and panda have been big hits here at n&h before and we’re happy to introduce the newest members of the menagerie, the macaw and the large llama.
